ABOUT TIDUS
Oh no, this page is not about Tidus and his story or the color of his hair. This is about how Tidus changed Yuna's life, how his appearance and his departure forever altered who she was and who she would become.

Imagine that you are dying. Imagine that you have become resigned to this, have slowly and gently severed your ties with this life and spent time accepting your fate instead. Imagine that you are Yuna, whose path is chosen and whose destiny is as good as written in the stars. She is widely believed to be the next High Summoner, bringer of new life and another Calm. She knows that the road to Zanarkand, if it does not detour in death, will eventually end in death anyway. Surrounded by Guardians who are childhood friends and loved ones, she embarks on the mission that has become the focus of her young life. Yuna is driven and determined. She knows that the sights she will be seeing are not ones she will ever see again. She knows that these are the closing hours, that every second counts. This girl is only seventeen years old! Her composure, her serene and mature attitude, are caused by the knowledge that she is running headlong into her own death. It isn't something to be questioned, it isn't something to be debated; this is what she has decided for herself, this is what she feels most strongly about, and everything centers on it. And, as they say, "ignorance is bliss." Yuna knows nothing of love. True, she knows the longing to remain with her friends. She knows the wish to be able to take things for granted, to pass by a particular sight or sound with the reassuring knowledge that she will probably encounter it again. But she knows nothing of loving another; she knows nothing of regret, has never allowed herself the time to consider just what she will be losing, by giving her life so young. Until Tidus, that is. Because he walks into her life and suddenly, suddenly there is someone to live for.
