How it all came to be... I think it started with all the pirate drawings and pirate slang from Corey. I'm sure the extra time at work was also a factor. But in any case, we have PIRATES!, which is the name I have given this story until I come up with a better title. I'm very lazy with titles. Enough babbling! The Prologue and Chapters 1 & 2 both made their first appearance at Notebook MB, but I very soon decided to move everything to its own site so I could show off the fabulous character portraits that Corey made. Also because I figured if I kept going with it, the thread would be extremely long and everyone would keep adding comments to it and blah blah blah. It seemed simpler just to make a place for it on the domain, and here it is! Writing this story is a very enjoyable experience for me, because first of all I love to write, and second the characters are all based on people I know. Or, most of them. The freedom to create and dream and sketch out maps and make up new adventures is made even better by the fact that I get to share them with you. If you're just getting started, I highly recommend you start from the very beginning. You might want to read about the characters first, though. For those of you who have been following along, thanks! New chapters will always be announced on the updates page. Also, Corey has agreed to make more portraits for the characters as new ones come along! So I'll be announcing that too, whenever it happens. My challenge to you: can you guess who the characters are in real life? Hazard your guesses on the tagboard, and more importantly, have fun!
