Welcome to the fabulously bizarre glorified RPG story that is PIRATES! Now over thirty-five chapters long (and I still haven't shut up yet...), this little project has certainly gone better than I ever imagined it would. This layout, the fifth version of PIRATES! since its first appearance in August 2005, uses art by my wonderful friend Cynthia. Navigation is above and updates are below. Enjoy!

1.14.07 HA! Exactly two months after my last update, I'm back again! And I brought, um, Chapter 39! Also, Chapter 40! This marks the last twenty chapters of PIRATES! As a side note, you may find yourself wishing for subtitles while reading Ch40...but don't worry. It will ALL be explained in Ch41. THAT IS A PROMISE. I'm a tyrant and make up dead languages for use in dialogue just to frustrate you and make you wonder what the heck they're saying. But I'm not TOO much of a tyrant, so expect it all to be properly explained before long. AND HEY! I have a new fanart from the lovely Chisato, right over here! Be sure to read Chisa's story, That Which You Gave Me!!! I RECOMMEND IT!!! Besides, she updates WAY faster than I do. O__O

11.14.06 It's, umm, 2:05AM! But! Loooook!!! Chapter 38 is written! I'm still getting through those in-between-ish chapters before the great excitement begins...excitement I've been waiting to write about for a year now! Still, I did my best to hold your interest in this chapter as we move from perspective to perspective...I hope it isn't too much emo, etc. And I hope, above all else, that in some small way you get to share in the experience. When you read it, you'll get it. I am not being vague for nothing! LOL! Enjoy, guys ^^ Man, I am on a ROLL with this PIRATES!-writing business!

11.12.06 So like, yeah. Chapter 37! Shiny, new, and the first time Lee ever gets to say more than 2 things! Wahahaha...err...O__O It's one of those necessary-for-proper-character-development chapters, so sorry to all the excitement seekers out there. All, err, 5 of you??! Anyway! I may have time to write another chapter soon, so look out! We're almost at 40 chapters...! A random fact: PIRATES! is currently somewhere around 60,000 words long...! Good grief. Someone REALLY needs to get me to shut up, already.

10.23.06 I bring you the latest installment in the endlessly long PIRATES! saga, Chapter 36! It's full of italics and Stella and Luke and the flashing of blades, etc. Really fun. Oh yes, and of course this new layout featuring the LOVELY art of my one and only official illustrator, Cynthia. I am horribly in love with the art she did for this layout, which was my special request and finally has the three pirate siblings all together in one picture. DON'T YOU LOVE IT??!!!

9.18.06 Well, whaddya know. It only took me three days to add Chapter 35 this time, instead of 3 months! There's a fun new character, so go read it. READ IT NOW.

9.15.06 Chapter 34 is finally here, and Chapter 35 shouldn't be far behind. Enjoyyyyy!

7.22.06 Okay, 2 new chapters here and here, so no complaining out there or I will seriously cleave you to the brisket, etc etc. And these chapters? THEY CAME OUT TO 10 MS WORD PAGES. WHICH I SAT HERE TYPING FOR LIKE 4 FREAKING HOURS. Granted, I stopped often to eat cake, but still. This is irrelevant information. What matters is, you now have two horrifically long chapters to read, until your eyes pop out or invert themselves or your vision goes down at least half a grade. Therefore, I can't be bothered with you all for the next........30 years. In which I will CONTEMPLATE spending another 4 hours of my life with the various twists, turns, and 360's of my plot driving me completely insane. If you buy me cake, I will perhaps reconsider. It has to be a certain kind of cake though.

Eew, longest update ever. Gross. Anyway, enjoy!

7.06.06 New layout! With the navigation included this time! Hahaha O__O I also finally got all that fanart up...at least, I THINK I got it all up. Go check it out here! I'm working on getting Chapter 32 done either today or tomorrow, so stay tuned! Oh, and look, there is now a tagboard in the sidebar instead of its own page! Fabulous, I know.

6.16.06 OMG FINALLY I UPDATED GAAAH KILL ME. Chapter 31 is finished!!!! Again! Cause I had to re-write it! Cause the original was packed away with my other computer when we moved house! I'm rushing, or I'd write a longer update...have fun, and thanks for being so patient (or IMpatient!) with me...hahahaha *runs away*
